About

Dr. Aidin Ashoori is a composer for media, pianist, and physician.

He began piano lessons at the age of four, and his talents were recognized from an early age, leading to numerous awards during his childhood, including first prizes in local and state-level competitions. As a young adult, he made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2009 at a Winners' recital after winning the First Prize in the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition. Subsequently, he returned to Carnegie Hall in 2014. He currently serves as President of the Advisory Board of the Alexander & Buono Foundation.

Motivated by a lifelong passion for film / video game scores and their capacity to enrich storytelling, Ashoori ventured into creating music and sounds for media. Represented by esteemed music publishers in the industry, including Evolving Sound, Dos Brains, and SPM Music Group, Ashoori's music and sound-design have been featured in official trailers, promos, TV spots, and campaigns for motion picture.

Alongside his dedication to music, Ashoori has pursued a parallel journey in the field of mental health. His passion for aiding others was ignited during high school when he volunteered by performing regularly at a local memory care center. During this experience, he saw the transformative impact of music in healing. Motivated by a desire to broaden his capacity to help others, he made the decision to pursue a career in medicine. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University and completed his residency training in psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
