About

Aidin Ashoori is a composer, pianist, and psychiatrist.

He began piano lessons at the age of four, and his talents were recognized from an early age. As a young adult, he made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2009 at a Winners' recital after winning the First Prize in the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition. Subsequently, he returned to Carnegie Hall in 2014. He currently serves as President of the Advisory Board of the Alexander & Buono Foundation.

In recent years, Ashoori ventured into producing music for movie and video game trailers. Represented by leading Hollywood production labels, notably Evolving Sound and Dos Brains, his tracks have been licensed for official motion picture campaigns and other media content for clients including Marvel Studios, Pixar, Hulu, NEON, and Netflix.

Alongside his dedication to music, Ashoori has pursued a parallel career in mental health. His passion for aiding others was ignited during high school when he volunteered by performing regularly at a local memory care center. During this experience, he saw the transformative impact of music in healing. Motivated by a desire to broaden his capacity to help others, he made the decision to pursue a career in medicine. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University and completed his psychiatry training at UNC-Chapel Hill.
